What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an SEO strategist who is obsessed with the latest SEO developments and how they can impact their clients.
Our strategists should always be looking for new ways to get our clients results and should not be afraid of trying new tactics or creating tests on separate websites to find new strategies and techniques to use.
We need someone who not only has the love for SEO but the passion and confidence in their own abilities to be accountable for client performance.
The Accelerate model we’re building out focuses on using a trifecta of internal stakeholders working cohesively to maintain client and agency performance. These three core individuals include:
This is a closely knit team responsible for potentially 10 client accounts (don’t worry you will have a full delivery team around you and execs to help out too) and you will need to form a tight bond, work closely together and have each other's backs.
Having this model in place means if you work effectively together the strategist will not need to double as an account manager - as is often the case in most agencies.
Leave retention, commercials and account management to the client manager - that’s what their skills are. All we want is for our strategists to be subject matter experts who can focus on delivering great work unencumbered by the usual ‘add-on’ responsibilities of client admin and relationship building.
We do of course need our strategists to be familiar with the client management side of things as it will still be a client-facing role, but they will be on calls to wow the client as the subject matter expert - there to win the client’s trust and instantly reassure them the SEO will be done to the highest possible standard to all but guarantee their results.
This means the strategist has to work closely with the client manager and project manager to ensure the client’s needs are completely taken care of and a collaborative relationship is built to ensure results, ensure retention and ensure the work is delivered profitably.
