Job Title: Communications Assistant

About the Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Communications Assistant to join our team in Bristol. As a Communications Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our internal and external communication efforts. You will assist in creating content, managing social media channels, and ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms. Your creativity and attention to detail will be crucial in enhancing our brand's visibility and engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and executing communication strategies to promote our brand, products, and services.
  • Create engaging content for various channels, including social media, newsletters, websites, and press releases.
  • Manage and update the company’s social media accounts, including scheduling posts and monitoring engagement.
  • Support the creation of internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, and event updates.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and events.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile reports on communication activities and campaign performance.
  • Respond to media inquiries and assist in maintaining positive relationships with journalists and influencers.
  • Help ensure brand consistency across all communications and marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather information and create content that aligns with our messaging goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in communication and social media.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms and content management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate new ideas for content and campaigns.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with graphic design tools and video editing software is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a communications or marketing role is beneficial but not required.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
