About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Treasury Lead to head our treasury team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing liquidity, implementing investment strategies, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring seamless operations with Mastercard. As Treasury Lead at albo, you will work in a collaborative environment, leveraging your analytical skills and leadership to support financial decision-making and ensure the financial health of the organization.
What you’ll be doing at albo:
Investment Strategy and Liquidity Management
- Define and execute investment strategies for company and third-party funds, maximizing returns.
- Monitor and forecast daily cash positions to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Coordinate the transfer and leveling of liquidity, ensuring the smooth flow of operations for our core products.
Financial Risk Management
- Analyze financial risks, including interest rate and currency risks.
- Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes relevant to treasury operations.
Banking Relationship Management
- Manage relationships with financial institutions and banking partners.
- Negotiate banking fees and terms to optimize cost efficiency.
- Continuously review banking products and services to enhance operational effectiveness.
Operations
- Oversee payroll processing and extraordinary payments, ensuring compliance with Human Resources.
- Ensure proper funding of client accounts and timely tax payments.
- Follow up and manage projects related to our core products.
Mastercard Operations
- Execute daily settlements and reconciliations for Mastercard transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Coordinate collateral increases required by Mastercard.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Mastercard operational guidelines.
- Oversee the resolution of issues related to Mastercard settlements in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate collateral increases required by Mastercard and other stakeholders.
Bank Account Management
- Oversee the opening of new accounts, from initial submission to platform activation.
- Monitor and control banking operations to ensure smooth cash flow.
Credit Product Management
- Oversee liquidity management and funding for credit products, ensuring alignment with lending and consumer credit operations.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for credit operations, including forecasting and managing cash flows.
- Collaborate with product and lending teams to align financial strategies with business goals.
Additional Projects
- Lead special projects and ad hoc analyses related to the continuous improvement of treasury processes and procedures.
- Develop and implement investment policies and operational guidelines.
About you and what type of skills you'll need:
- Experience working with Mastercard, either as a service provider or with a strong understanding of its operations.
- Experience with credit products, including managing cash flows, settlements, and risks associated with lending and consumer credit.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CTP, CFA) is a plus.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and other financial software.
- Proven experience in treasury operations within a financial institution or fintech company.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, risk management, and cash management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
