Are you a techie type of human being that loves putting together WordPress sites in your sleep?

 

Does your skin crawl at the thought of disorganization?

 

Do you understand servers as if you’ve been friends forever and often meet up for brunch on Sundays??

 

If so, then this job position might be for you.

 

First, let’s introduce ourselves (*shakes hand*). We’re Alpine Web, and we’re a Website Development and Marketing Firm based out of Traverse City, Michigan.

 

Since 2005, Alpine Web has helped hundreds of local businesses, e-commerce companies and brands with website design, web development, and marketing.


This position requires the ability to multi-task, stay organized, be creative, maintain a positive attitude, and have a claymore blade of excellent communication skills!


Who We Need:


  • We need a techie (someone who can smell bad code from a mile away)

 

  • We need a problem solver (someone who looks at a problem and gets all giddy to solve it)

 

  • We need someone who understand servers (please see “brunch” comment from earlier)

 

  • We need someone who can build WordPress websites in their sleep (but of course we prefer the person to be awake or else mistakes are made, you get it)

 

  • We need someone who has HTML and CSS coding knowledge/experience as if talking code was like talking about Game of Thrones or other Netflix/ game you love.

 

  • We need someone who has worked with web clients before building websites



Duties and Responsibilities


Manage projects: Must be able to communicate and collaborate with customers and internal and external team members.

Depending on the task, you may do the update yourself. An example would be building out a new Wordpress website for a client, or in some cases you would write the task up and add the task to Asana our project management system for an external designer or developer to complete.

Once task is completed you would follow-up with client via phone or email with update.


Client Communication: Regardless if you complete the task or not, you would be responsible for the client communication. When customer calls Alpine, you would answer the phone. Depending on what client needs, you would fix it yourself or add task to Asana for another team member to complete.


Build Wordpress Websites: You will build new Wordpress websites for customers. Config Wordpress themes, add plugins, and more.


Answer phone calls: You will answer the office line and provide support to customers. Calls range from current websites needing updates or changes to their current website, prospects calling in for new website quotes, and other tech related issues such as email is down.

 

Here Are Some Final Good to Have Qualities:

  • SEO knowledge
  • Self-learner
  • Love design & code
  • Previous worked for a web agency
  • Cloudfusion experience
