Position Overview:
The Picking Manager will oversee the entire picking process within our warehouse, ensuring that all customer orders are accurately selected and prepared for shipping. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team, optimize workflows, and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate the picking team to achieve daily operational goals. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Process Optimization: Analyze current picking processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and speed. Utilize data to identify bottlenecks and develop solutions.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all orders are picked accurately and meet the company's quality standards. Address any issues related to order discrepancies or damages.
- Performance Monitoring: Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the picking team. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including inventory management, shipping, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that all team members are trained in safe work practices.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including staffing, equipment, and time, to meet operational demands and maintain cost efficiency.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on picking operations, including performance metrics, challenges, and improvement initiatives, to upper management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center, with at least [X] years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in picking or order fulfillment.
