We are currently seeking a dedicated Stockroom Utility Operator to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our stockroom, supporting our overall supply chain and inventory management processes.
Position Overview:
The Stockroom Utility Operator is responsible for managing stockroom activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring stockroom organization, and supporting warehouse operations as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and products in the stockroom.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom to ensure easy access and retrieval of items.
- Distribute materials and products to the appropriate departments as needed.
- Prepare and package items for shipping or transfer to other locations.
- Assist with inventory management and control, including cycle counts and stock reconciliations.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to management.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to support overall operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or inventory management role is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely (forklift certification is a plus).
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
