Position Overview:
The Stockroom Utility Operator is responsible for managing stockroom operations efficiently, ensuring that inventory is accurately maintained and readily accessible. This role involves various tasks, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as supporting the overall flow of operations in the stockroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, unpack, and organize incoming materials and supplies in the stockroom.
• Ensure accurate labeling and storage of items, maintaining organized and easily accessible stock levels.
• Conduct regular inventory counts, report discrepancies, and update stock records accordingly.
• Retrieve and distribute materials as required by production and other departments, ensuring timely delivery.
• Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
• Assist in the preparation of outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and loading items for transport.
• Monitor stockroom conditions, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment at all times.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and company protocols, promoting a safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance stockroom operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the stockroom supervisor or warehouse manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or material handling role is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory management systems.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
