Aurora Traders LLC is seeking a diligent and organized Warehouse Receiver to join our dynamic warehouse team. As a Warehouse Receiver, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are accurately accounted for and meet our quality standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our inventory management system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving Shipments: Unload and receive incoming shipments from suppliers, verifying the accuracy of delivery against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspection: Inspect all received goods for damages, defects, or discrepancies, and report any issues to the warehouse supervisor for further action.
- Documentation: Accurately document received items in the inventory management system, ensuring that all records are up-to-date and correct.
- Inventory Management: Organize and store received goods in the appropriate locations within the warehouse, maintaining an orderly and efficient storage system.
- Communication: Collaborate with the purchasing and warehouse teams to resolve any issues related to incoming shipments, such as overages, shortages, or damaged goods.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products received meet the company's quality standards, and assist in implementing quality control measures as needed.
- Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the receiving process and reduce errors.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is preferred. Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspecting and documenting received goods.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate material handling equipment.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
