Shopify Developer (remote)
The successful candidate will work as a Shopify Developer with our Amsterdam-based client, a rapidly growing digital marketing agency specializing in e-commerce brands and webshops. They are looking for a highly experienced Shopify Developer to join their team and create appealing websites for their clients. There are no limits; you can aspire to leadership positions as the company continues to grow.

Primary Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Develop custom Shopify themes and modify existing themes according to business requirements.
- Customize Shopify templates, integrate third-party apps and APIs, and build custom features as needed.
- Fill in photos and banners to style Shopify websites.
- Convert websites from other platforms to Shopify, prioritizing front-end development.
- Communicate with clients regarding project requirements and updates.
- Occasionally assist with backend development tasks.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, perform regular site maintenance, and ensure website uptime and security.
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to align website features with business goals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce trends and best practices to ensure our Shopify stores are competitive.
Requirements:
- 5 years experience in Shopify web development, including theme customization, app integration, and custom feature development.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Shopify's templating language). Familiarity with other web technologies such as React, Node.js, or Vue.js is a plus.
- Understanding of e-commerce concepts, online payment gateways, and shopping cart systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
