Can you help our growing team make a global impact?
As a growth marketing expert, you will be responsible for driving hands-on growth through acquisition and retention, product marketing, brand management and content production across the US, UK and other English-speaking countries for our Shopify webshop and Amazon marketplace.
The right fit will be a highly analytical, hypothesis-driven individual who is comfortable with driving ruthless prioritization, who has seen previous success in scaling a fast-paced eCommerce tech start up. As a proven hands-on manager, you will be able to pull together and motivate a cross-functional team to deliver on your vision while also balancing the requirements against the wider objectives of the business.
You will be a savvy digital marketer with experience of creating effective online acquisition and retention strategies using a range of performance marketing channels such as Paid Social, SEA, Influencer marketing, YouTube and CRM tactics. You will also have experience in developing high-performing digital marketing teams.
This role will begin as a contract position, full time, with an option to extend into a long-term role based on fit.
Core Responsibilities
- Creation of annual business plans, quarterly forecasts and weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting on; sales, revenue, contribution and key marketing metrics
- Accountable for management of overall marketing budgets, ROI and contribution KPIs
- Collate and identify insights from GA, FB manager and other clickstream data, CRM, search insights, social listening to gain a deep understanding of our most valuable customers and use this to optimize campaigns
- Overseeing global performance marketing channels including Paid Search, PPC, SEO, email, remarketing and affiliate programs, you will build and deploy a digital marketing strategy to both increase brand awareness and drive revenue and contribution for the business.
- Taking the lead on advertising assets with knowledge of best practice for key platforms (YouTube, Facebook/Instagram, GDN). Experience developing creative briefs, managing agencies and the full production process for advertising will be useful here.
- Working with the Product lead, to define and work towards a best in class user experience and customer journey for our website, maintaining a full testing and improvement backlog.
- Continually track, analyze and optimize online customer journeys and site content, ensuring all areas are fully optimized for conversion.
- Accountability for how our products are represented and listed on third party marketplaces such as Amazon.
- Work with our Operations teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner, driving further efficiencies where possible, and stock levels are effectively managed.
- Work with our Customer Services team to ensure that customers queries are promptly and proactively managed across all channels and territories.
- Line management, development and coaching of the high performance marketing team; driving the efficiency and effectiveness of all online channels
- Manage reporting & forecasting: rooted in good commercial & analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.
- While you will manage a team, you’ll need to be a do-er, and work hands-on with our analytics, marketing and automation tools
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years D2C ecommerce experience in a fast paced startup or a scale up
- Ideally US based or with significant experience in the US consumer market
- Expert knowledge of the eCommerce channels, technical data & tracking integrations as well as experience planning and executing actions to maximize conversion rate, optimize the onsite user journey and drive business performance. Experience with a/b testing and other CRO tools a plus.
- Business planning and global eCommerce strategy development experience
- Demonstrable experience in delivery of successful web development projects and implementation and operation of effective marketing automation capabilities
- Self-starter, capable of effective prioritization of activities and deliverables in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
- Implementation and optimization experience of HubSpot or other automation platforms
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, and proven management skills
- A cross-functional growth approach: experience in creating hypotheses and testing frameworks for growth, designing and running experiments, analyzing marketing data and user feedback to develop new growth strategies, and working cross-functionally with the rest of the business to deliver on this.
- Exceptional collaboration skills - able to work effectively with a variety of different people
- Proven influencing skills across all levels of business
- In-depth knowledge of performance campaign execution with special focus on Google ecosystem, Facebook ecosystem and Affiliate networks.
- Experience using Google Analytics (or similar web analytics) to identify trends and take appropriate actions, and experience in providing website performance insights.
