A note for recruiters - I'm afraid we have a preferred suppliers list and aren't currently looking for new recruitment partners.
The UI/UX Developer is a technology-focussed role that seeks to provide end users with a fantastic experience when interacting with our products.
You’ll see the creation of user workflows and wireframes as the first step in the coding journey, using research to steer and validate your work. You’ll sit between creative and development teams, but will be comfortable in both worlds, providing valuable contributions and insight. You don’t need to be a ‘jack of all trades’ but you do need to be a master of your chosen specialism. As well as working on new projects, you’ll also work with our retained clients to improve the UX of their existing digital assets.
Bliss is a digital agency that provides strategic creative and technical solutions for local, national and international organisations. We have an office in Manchester city centre, but are generally working at home due to Covid - we want the best of both worlds in the future.
We’re friendly, collaborative and fair, and require all team members to embody these core values.
Bliss is a sustainable business that wants to contribute more than we take. Our work in the humanitarian, charity and nonprofit sectors reflects our values, and we are looking to expand this in 2021 and beyond. We are an accredited employer of the Living Wage Foundation, and are working toward B Corp certification.
Quality is very important to us, and we are constantly striving to improve our skills, knowledge and working practices. Where we don’t think we’re able to be great, we’ll look to partners who are.
We are a self motivated group of web developers, passionate about technology. We pride ourselves in our ability to empathise with our clients on problems and thrive for creative solutions that create maximum value.
If this sounds like the sort of agency you’d like to work for, we’d love to hear from you!
At Bliss, personal values are as important as experience and skills. If you’re not a good fit for our agency, you won’t enjoy your job, and that’s not good for anyone.
We believe in looking after each other, the planet and its inhabitants. We don’t want you to be selfless, but we do expect you to do the right thing above all else.
Open yourself up to your colleagues and clients and they’ll do the same for you. In this way you’ll create friendships from work relationships, gaining trust, respect and support.
We’re a team, and work to the same goals even when we might not agree individually. You’ll be the sort of person that gets as much out of collective success as you do from personal victories.
We love benefits!
Some benefits are only available after probation, and can be withdrawn or amended in the future to ensure they are providing value for the team and business. Generally though, we’ll be looking to add and improve these over time.
We’ve always believed in being flexible, and are currently planning to move from an office-first to a remote-first model. We believe that both working together face-to-face and working from home have benefits, and will provide the best of both worlds to our team.
Full-time remote workers may be considered for some roles, as long as they have a UK working visa.
