7.5T Driver/ Loader - Albert Road at Bristol Waste Company

£27,111.32 per annum

Hours: 39 per week

IS THIS ROLE FOR ME?

We are looking for drivers that share our ambitious vision and values to make Bristol a cleaner and greener place to live and work. 

Working in the recycling and refuse team, this is a physical role and will involve getting in and out of the vehicle to sort and collect recycling materials. Reporting to a Supervisor, you will be driving company vehicles safely, load, transport and unload waste and recycling materials. This all needs to be done according to agreed customer requirements, Bristol Waste Company procedures and all external legal requirements.

If you are looking for a driving role with Monday to Friday family friendly daytime hours, on standard 8 hour shifts and local routes, then this would be a great opportunity for you.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

• Must hold a 7.5t licence, CPC and Digital Drivers Card
• Experience or ability to undertake regular vehicle checks including oil, water and battery levels
• Experience or ability to demonstrate suitability for physical work involving pushing/pulling waste bins and lifting recycling boxes up to 25kg
• The ability to understand and complete daily defect sheets
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently and to use own initiative
• The ability to work well within a small team
• The ability to use IT systems
