As a Communications Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our communication strategies and initiatives. You will assist in creating engaging content, managing social media platforms, and coordinating communications efforts across various channels to enhance our brand presence and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of communication strategies.
- Create and edit content for internal and external communications, including newsletters, press releases, and blog posts.
- Manage and curate content for social media platforms while engaging with our online community.
- Monitor media coverage and compile reports on public relations efforts.
- Assist in organising events, campaigns, and promotional activities.
- Support the team in maintaining databases and tracking communication metrics.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency and alignment in messaging.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging communication tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and online communication tools.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience or internships in communications, marketing, or public relations is a plus.
