A leading, internationally accredited hospital group in Dubai, UAE is expanding its pediatric emergency and acute care services and is inviting applications from highly skilled Consultant / Specialist Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians to join its multidisciplinary emergency care team.

Role Overview

• Position: Consultant / Specialist Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician
• Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
• Hospital Type: Private / Government / Multispecialty / Tertiary Care (JCI-accredited)
• Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post board certification
• Clinical Setting: Pediatric Emergency Department with access to NICU, PICU, trauma services, and advanced diagnostics

The successful candidate will deliver specialised emergency care for infants, children, and adolescents in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment.

Eligibility & Board Recognition

• American Board of Emergency Medicine / Pediatric Emergency Medicine
• American Board of Pediatrics with Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship
• UK CCT / FRCEM / MRCPCH (with PEM experience)
• European Board Certification
• Royal College Certification (Canada)
• Australian Fellowship
• Arab Board
• DNB/ MD/ DM/ FNB/ FCPS or equivalent recognised specialist qualification

Candidates should be eligible for DHA / DOH / MOH license conversion (full support provided).

Key Responsibilities – Pediatric Emergency Medicine

• Provide rapid assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, and trauma-related conditions.

• Stabilise and manage life-threatening pediatric emergencies, including respiratory distress, sepsis, trauma, and cardiac events.

• Perform pediatric emergency procedures such as airway management, intubation, resuscitation, procedural sedation, and vascular access.

• Lead and participate in pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and resuscitation protocols.

• Collaborate with pediatricians, intensivists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate admission, referral, or discharge planning.

• Provide family-centred care, including communication with parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.

• Ensure efficient triage and patient flow management within the pediatric emergency department.

• Utilise diagnostic tools such as point-of-care testing, imaging, and laboratory investigations for rapid clinical decision-making.

• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.

• Maintain accurate and compliant electronic medical records and clinical documentation.

• Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, pediatric emergency care standards, and hospital protocols.
