Role Overview
Position: Consultant / Specialist Clinical Pathologist
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Hospital Type: Private / Government / Multispecialty / Tertiary Care (JCI-aligned)
Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist / board certification
Clinical Scope: Laboratory medicine, diagnostic pathology, quality assurance, and clinical consultation
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring diagnostic accuracy, and supporting clinicians through high-quality laboratory insights.
Eligibility & Board Recognition

- American Board of Pathology (Clinical Pathology)
- UK CCT / FRCPath
- European Board Certification
- Royal College Certification (Canada)
- Australian Fellowship
- Arab Board
- MD Pathology / DNB / FCPS or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
Candidates should be eligible for Dubai Health Authority (DHA) / Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH) license conversion (full support provided).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage clinical laboratory services including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and immunology
- Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely reporting of diagnostic test results
- Interpret laboratory findings and provide clinical consultation to physicians
- Implement and monitor quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) programs
- Ensure compliance with international accreditation standards (JCI, CAP, ISO)
- Supervise laboratory staff, including technologists and technicians
- Participate in infection control, transfusion medicine, and clinical governance programs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and laboratory efficiency
- Maintain compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and laboratory standards
