Role Overview: As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the delivery and collection of parcels within your allocated route area. This role involves driving a multi-drop van, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to customers, and providing excellent customer service. You will be equipped with a company vehicle and fully trained on our driver handheld device (ePOD).
A typical day includes:
- Arriving at the depot, sorting your delivery parcels into your route.
- Performing vehicle and pre-departure checks.
- Starting your deliveries and completing collections from customers throughout the day.
- Returning to the depot for unload and debrief.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a multi-drop van to deliver and collect parcels across the local area.
- Sort and load parcels into your van according to your delivery route.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Engage in pre-brief and post-delivery debrief activities to stay aligned with company processes.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism and approachability at all times.
- Utilise reliable equipment, including ePOD devices, to capture delivery activity efficiently.
What We’re Looking For:
- A full driving licence with 6 points or less and no driving bans in the last 5 years.
- Proven experience driving a multi-drop van.
- Knowledge of Ross-on-Wye and surrounding areas is ideal.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods and to cover holidays and sickness.
- A commitment to following company processes and maintaining a high standard of work.
