Job Purpose

 

The role of the Head of Content will oversee and manage the standard of the lesson content created by the Content team at Circus Street. The role will ensure we maintain our high standards of learner engagement by maintaining the tone of voice and style and ensuring this is standardised. They are responsible for designing and delivering a style guide, and managing the commissioning editor, content editors and producers to ensure that standard is maintained and optimised across the entire content creation process. They will also be responsible for ensuring there’s a robust review and update process to maintain the quality of content. Finally, they will work closely with the commercial and sales team to collect and analyse lesson feedback to ensure high standards are maintained.

 

A Day In The Life

 

Curriculum and content

  • Maintain a curriculum plan which delivers immediate value for our target enterprise clients
  • Collaborate with the R&D teams and sales teams to identify how we can continue to prove the value of our content and the impact that it delivers
  • Collaborate with the production team to align processes in order to deliver efficiencies and new ways of working across the departments to allow us to scale

 

Data and insight

  • Explore and action feedback from our key clients
  • Monitor and oversee learner data alongside the R&D team and use to continually improve the product
  • Continually assess the competitive landscape
  • Ensure continual delivery of lessons by the content team as per the curriculum plan
  • Continue to quality control the content and faculty

 

Leadership and People Management

  • Provide leadership and people management to the Content team including regular feedback, coaching and career development
  • Work with the broader Circus Street Leadership team to drive joint business and people initiatives across the business
  • Act as a mentor and coach to more junior members of the team promoting excellence in all we do
  • Recommend and share new, innovative ways to further develop the skills, capabilities and output of the team
  • Lead, live and demonstrate the CS values

 

You’re good at

  • Line management - proven experience in a Senior Content position
  • People management and identifying skills that need developing across a team of Editors, Writers and Producers
  • Managing processes to ensure high quality content is delivered
  • Competent experience working with a content management system and monitoring completion rates, ratings and reviews
  • Driving innovation by developing new ideas and processes and iterating existing ones
  • Collaborating and working across the business to ensure we’re delivering the best content and overall product that our clients and learners need
