Do you excel in managing logistics and building client relationships across diverse sectors? We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Associate to join our team. Under the guidance of the Director of Events, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and executing events for a wide range of clients, ensuring exceptional experiences every time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients across various sectors to plan and implement room and setup changes for scheduled events.
- Monitor event schedules and respond to inquiries about events and the events calendar.
- Gather and maintain data on event spaces, including photos and layouts, and upload them into the scheduling system.
- Act as the primary liaison with software support teams to resolve technical issues.
- Provide significant support for large-scale events, including ceremonial occasions and corporate gatherings.
- Manage event-related communications, including responding to client inquiries via email and phone.
- Assist with logistics such as equipment setup, attire management, and post-event evaluations.
- Perform administrative tasks and provide office support as needed.
- Take on additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth event operations.
Experience & Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in communications, marketing, public relations, event management, or a related field, or relevant experience.
- A combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of event planning or coordination experience, preferably in higher education, facility management, or conference/event settings.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven ability to plan, initiate, and manage complex logistical scenarios.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and interruptions.
