A vacancy has arisen for an Finance Assistant within the Finance Operations team at Colt International. The role will be a key support role for a number of essential transactional activities within the finance department and offers an opportunity to learn many different skills. The role will also involve supporting the rest of the Finance Operations team with various tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Processing Invoicing
- Processing invoicing sent over by the scheduling team once works are completed.
- Sending invoices to customers and uploading to the relevant customer portals.
Project Closing
- Closing down projects once invoiced and complete to help ensure costs are correct.
Credit Management
- Helping to setup new customers on the system.
- Assisting credit control with carrying out credit checks on new and existing customers.
General
- Ensure accuracy and integrity in order and invoice processes.
- Liaise with colleagues at all levels.
- General Annual leave cover for other members of the team where necessary.
QHSE
- It is the duty of all employees to act within the legal responsibilities imposed upon them and the company QHSE Policy.
- All employees are to be familiar with the integrated management system processes and procedures of the Company.
Compliance
- We are committed to ensuring regulatory compliance for the products and solutions we offer.
- Employees must adhere to processes and procedures that have been implemented to ensure compliance.
- Employees must report any concerns to their line manager or the Technical Director/Compliance Lead.
About You:
Essential Qualifications and Professional Skills
- Qualifications at GCSE Level or above.
- High level of attention to detail whilst working through a high volume of work.
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel.
- Team player.
- Experience in the use of BAAN software.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Sound Excel and computer skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to deal with high volumes of work.
Desirable Qualifications and Professional Skills
- AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification.
- Qualifications at A level or above.
- Experience in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Experience within an admin based role.
