About Concorde Education
Concorde Education partners with schools nationwide to provide high-quality academic and enrichment programming. We are expanding into special education services, supporting schools with compliance, program development, and direct service delivery for students with diverse learning needs.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Director of Special Education Services to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of our special education programming.
This role will be responsible for building systems from the ground up — including staffing, compliance, service delivery models, and school partnerships. If you’re looking for a plug-and-play district role, this isn’t it. This is a builder role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement special education service programs across partner schools
- Ensure full compliance with IDEA, IEP, and Missouri state regulations
- Recruit, train, and supervise special education providers (SEITs, paraprofessionals, therapists, etc.)
- Oversee caseload management, documentation, and service tracking systems
- Serve as the primary liaison with school administrators and district personnel
- Support IEP development, review, and implementation processes
- Develop scalable systems for scheduling, staffing, and quality control
- Monitor program effectiveness and continuously improve service delivery
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid state certification in Special Education (required)
- Required: Direct experience in Missouri special education systems, including familiarity with state-specific compliance, regulations, and service delivery requirements
- 5+ years experience in special education (teaching, coordination, or administration)
- Strong knowledge of IEPs, IDEA compliance, and service delivery models
- Experience supervising or managing staff strongly preferred
- Ability to build systems and operate in a fast-moving, growing environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Who This Role Is Great For
- Former or current Special Education Coordinators / Directors
- Experienced Special Education teachers ready to move into leadership
- Professionals who want to build something new, not just maintain existing systems
- Candidates comfortable balancing compliance + operations + people management
What to Expect
- Fast-paced, growth-oriented environment within an established education organization
- Opportunity to build and lead a new division
- High level of ownership and decision-making responsibility
- Collaboration with both school partners and internal leadership
