Job Title: STEM Coordinator
General Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Development, coordinates a variety of STEM (STEAM) after school activities.
Major Duties:
- Meets regularly with the Director of Educational Development
- Develops and updates STEM curriculum
- Communicates directly with school points of contacts, parents, and instructors
- Facilitates the launch and maintenance of STEM programs
- Collects data and feedback as part of a programmatic improvement plan
- Maintains consistent communication the Director of Educational Development
- Models appropriate academic and social behaviors
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work with students and adults of diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate responsibility, a desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility.
- Knowledge and ability to implement a variety of STEM (STEAM) programs including coding, digital arts, digital music production, etc.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to collect and analyze data to drive future instruction and programming.
- Ability to work independently applying critical thinking skills and problem solving to various situations.
Qualifications: Must possess a bachelor's degree, teaching and/or tutoring experience, and have extensive STEM knowledge
