Position Overview: The Event Assistant will support the Event Coordinator and the events team in planning, organizing, and executing various events. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to start a career in event planning and management. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of event coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of events, including corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, and social gatherings.
- Support the creation of event materials, such as invitations, programs, and signage.
- Help with on-site event setup, registration, and teardown.
- Maintain detailed records of event activities, budgets, and client communications.
- Assist in conducting post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining event files.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and update social media channels as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations during events.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
