Director of the Board of Directors – Focus on Innovation and Technology

Location: Tegucigalpa, Honduras

Role Type: Non-Executive (Independent Board Member)

Frequency: Quarterly meetings and strategic engagement as required

Role Summary

Grupo Flores seeks to integrate an independent professional with solid experience in innovation, digital transformation and technological leadership to its Board of Directors. This Director will bring a strategic perspective to accelerate the adoption of new technologies, drive operational efficiency, strengthen the customer experience and prepare the company for the challenges of the future in the automotive and mobility sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide strategic vision on issues of digital transformation, automation, and process innovation.- Advise on decisions related to investment in technology, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence applied to the business.- Evaluate digitalization initiatives that positively impact customer experience and internal efficiency.- Contribute to the definition of KPIs related to innovation, technological efficiency, and organizational change.- Support attraction and development of digital talent within the group.- Ensure the alignment between the technological strategy and the business and sustainability objectives of the Flores Group.- Actively participate in the relevant board meetings and committees (e.g. innovation or transformation committee).- Stay updated on global technological trends and their applicability to the automotive and services sector.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- Previous experience as CIO, CTO, Chief Innovation Officer or as a strategic advisor in companies with technological transformation processes.- In-depth knowledge of the digital ecosystem and new technologies (AI, IoT, automation, data analytics, etc.). - Experience in sectors such as automotive, mobility, retail, or financial services is a plus.- Demonstrated ability to support cultural change and innovation within consolidated organizations.- Independence of judgment, professional integrity, and strategic focus.- Previous experience as a board member or external advisor is desirable.- Executive level with relevant network of contacts in technology,  startups or innovation ecosystems.- Proficiency in Spanish and preferably English.
