The Unloader is responsible for efficiently and safely unloading products, materials, and equipment from trucks or containers, ensuring all items are in good condition and properly stored. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy items with care and precision.
Responsibilities:
• Safely unload shipments from trucks, containers, or other delivery vehicles.
• Inspect goods for damage or defects during the unloading process and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Sort, organize, and move materials to the designated storage or processing areas.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to assist with unloading (training provided if needed).
• Maintain accurate records of unloaded shipments and ensure proper labeling.
• Follow safety protocols to avoid injuries and product damage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the unloading and storage areas.
• Communicate with warehouse staff and drivers to ensure efficient operations.
• Assist with additional warehouse tasks as required.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in unloading, warehousing, or logistics preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
• Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus (certification is an advantage but not required).
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
