ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The APS Managing Principal - End to End Testing Practice Leader has the overall responsibility of establishing and overall ownership of a new End to End Testing Practice within Avaya Professional Services. The new testing practice defines testing strategy and plans with our client, cross-service teams and third-party partners for Avaya UC, CC and Cloud-based projects... The APS Practice Leader position requires a deep understanding and extensive experience with Avaya architecture, design, implementation and testing in support of architecture designs to be consumed for global deployments. It's a constantly evolving field, and the job requires someone who can stay on top of the latest trends and technologies.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages/Coaches and oversees Testing Consulting Leads and Test Engineers with strategic initiatives in addition to the guidance and mentoring of team members in the successful support of their responsibilities.
- This position is the second level field management position.
- Manages all aspects of service delivery for a defined function or geography.
- Responsible for hiring, developing, deploying and retaining highly skilled engineers and consultants within the new testing practice and responsibilities.
- Ensures revenue growth and profit performance of the operation at the direction of senior management.
- Anticipates and identifies complex business needs and recommends solutions to complex problems. Work is performed with minimal direction and reviewed by senior management.
- Coaches/Mentors the testing team members in support of lead critical testing services to be consumed for global deployments of Avaya Unified Communications (UC), Avaya Contact Center (CC) and Avaya OneCloud Private solutions.
- Establishes/maintains relationship with third-party vendors as it related to testing/validation services.
- Develops process and methodology for E2E Solution Testing
- Identifies automation opportunities and develops automation test framework by working with the testing team.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires 7 - 10 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Coaching/Management & Consultative Skills
- Strong Avaya CC experience at solution level spanning multiple Avaya products.
- Strong Avaya Oceana, Analytics and POM expertise required from a design, implementation/configuration perspective.
- Integration of Avaya systems with other third-party non-Avaya adjuncts – CRM, Call Recording, Workforce Optimization, AI solutions and others.
- Security Architecture and Design – signaling and media encryption
- Proficient in Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Create architecture design artifacts for the solution – Power Point high level architecture and vision, technical visio drawings, configuration details /test plans in Excel and detailed descriptions in Microsoft Word.
- Experience with market leading public Cloud solutions (AWS, Google, Azure) is a plus.
- Experience with core data networking and network management knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with cloud automation, cloud design patterns and microservices is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
- Working in a fast-paced geographically dispersed organization, ability to collaborate with remote teams is a must.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION: B.S. or M.S or like experience in one or more of the following areas - Telecommunication Networks, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems
