JOB DESCRIPTION
In collaboration with the Director of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Services, the RN Clinical Coordinator shares accountability for the 24 hour management of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology programs and department. In addition, provides over site of the clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery. Coordinates the development of team including educational components, compliance with regulatory and professional standards and fosters interdisciplinary collaborative relationships with other departments and the organization as a whole.
· Develops, maintains and trends an effective quality plan, which at a minimum complies with the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO) and other local, regional, and national standards.
· Monitors and maintains compliance with JCAHO Standards and other regulatory agencies as appropriate.
· Maintain quality control and clinical outcomes programs.
· Coordinates departmental plans for orientation of staff and continuing education
· Provides input into staff evaluations and performance evaluation
Qualifications/Education:
Must be a nursing graduate with an active state of Ohio RN licensure, Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
A minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in interventional cardiology program – Cardiac Cath lab experience required. Charge nurse or clinical coordinator experience preferred.
Previous experience overseeing and maintaining the American College of Cardiology (ACC) National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR) required.

Physical Demands: While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, and listen. The employee may occasionally be required to use hands and fingers to manipulate equipment when providing direct patient care and also to lift or exert force of up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
