Job Description Summary:
- As a Clinical Dietitian, you will plan, direct and provide nutritional assessment and care to patients/residents and provide community nutrition education pursuant to mission and philosophy.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, pharmacy and other healthcare team members/departments to determine, coordinate, and provide medical nutrition therapy.
- Collaborate with nutrition services to provide nutritionally appropriate menus, food options, and services for patients and visitors.
- Develops and provides education, training, consulting, and counseling services throughout the organization and for the community on topics including eating disorders, weight loss, and dietary modifications for healthy lifestyles.
- Participate in all discharge planning meetings and patient/resident team conferences.
- Participate as Consulting Dietitian and fulfills all consulting contracts.
- Coordinate, implement, and evaluate all Health policies and procedures related to diets/menus, drug/nutrition interaction, and nutrition education.
Must Haves :
- School of Dietetics Bachelor’s Degree
- Registered with Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Appropriate State License or Certification
- Annual Influenza Vaccination
Nice to Haves :
- Two+ years’ experience as Dietitian in health care preferred
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) Certification preferred or willingness to work towards CDE.
