Director Software Engineering (Salesforce) - Jersey City, NJ
Job Purpose
- Being a member of the Client Enablement Technology team, the Salesforce Development Director will support business solutions in our Salesforce implementation as well as in other supporting systems.
- This position will be dynamic and exciting, and we are looking for the right individual that can think on their feet and really adopt new challenges as they come along.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead development on top of the Salesforce platform
- Direct a team of Salesforce developers and administrators in sophisticated custom developments of entire applications using Apex and LWC
- Mentor Salesforce team
- Hold the development teams accountable for quality of code, achieving committed work within a sprint and release deadlines
- Work with the team to design solutions that use Salesforce best practices and introduce new technologies
- Engage with Salesforce Product lead, lead code reviews to ensure standard methodology coding processes
- Work with release management to plan releases and release schedules
- Prioritize Continuous Improvement initiatives related to service delivery to mitigate risks
- Partner with business users/IT senior leaders to ensure deliverables are properly aligned with project roadmaps
- Balance demand and resources for short- and long-term budget planning
- Create an inclusive environment of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and collaboration
- Create an inclusive environment across all aspects of the team
- Recommend resolution of technical problems based on root cause analysis
- Refine work estimates to ensure resource allocation is optimized
- Responsible for the overall management of the team and specific business applications (including technical designs)
- Provide leadership and handles all aspects of team management, including the development of employees
- Understand complexity of regulatory environment and ensures compliance
- Control success criteria from design through deployment for all non-functional requirements

Required Skills (MUST HAVES)
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 5 years Salesforce development experience
