JOB DESCRIPTION
Medical Records Manager responsible for ensuring confidentiality, quality and accuracy of all records maintained within the hospital.
Directly supervises medical records and CDI staff. Interfaces with medical staff, hospital leaders and other department directors and staff in the administration of the HIM function.
Evaluates pertinent records information, criteria, forms and other items of interest to the Medical Records Committee for review and/or approval.
Assists with Utilization Management and Performance Improvement activities as requested, evaluates policies and procedures and revises when necessary, responsible for recruiting and training all HIM employees; conducts follow-up on medical staff rules and regulations germane to privileges and record completion.
