JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Supervises and coordinates nursing staff and team operations on a daily basis to meet or exceed department goals
Essential Functions
- Supervises and coordinates nursing staff and team operations on a daily basis to meet or exceed department goals
- Completes nursing schedule in when to works
- Completes PSCQ nursing audits
- Completes payroll for nursing staff
- Manages applications in Taelo, interview applicants, and make recommendations for hiring.
- Conducts orientation of new nursing staff
- Exercises total confidentiality in matters pertaining to department employees, patients and families.
- Reinforces and disseminates information, policy decisions and plans and accepts responsibility to take appropriate disciplinary steps when problems arise.
- Demonstrates sound clinical judgment and skill in specialty area.
- Assists with development and implementation of educational needs related to emergency nursing care of staff based on evidence based practice.
- Ensures supply and equipment needs for area are met.
- Completes evaluations for assigned employees.
- Follows FRMC Attendance and Punctuality Policy.
- Communications- responsible for communicating all pertinent nursing and hospital information via-verbal, and written.
- Adherence to all core measure initiatives, patient safety goals and NQF Safe Practices.
- Responsible for following up on all submitted incidents through RL solutions.
Minimum Education
- Associate's degree required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Licenses/Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Current RN license to practice in NC
Nice-To-Haves
- Minimum 1 year management experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
