Roles and Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage a Reliability-centered maintenance process that drives lower operational costs through improved uptimes, optimum labor and material spend, and increased equipment lifespan. Creates the right team to drive the process.
- Champion the Maintenance Excellence (ME) process. Serve as the Maintenance Excellence Leader for the Plant SPS (TPM) Steering Team.
- Work closely with the plant’s SPS (TPM) Steering Team to effectively deploy Maintenance Excellence. Support Corporate SPS initiatives and partner with Maintenance Excellence Leaders to effectively and efficiently progress through the SPS and ME continuums.
- Achieve Zero Breakdown losses by creating an environment where personnel are fully engaged, teamwork and cooperation is routinely practiced, and maintenance personnel embrace high standards for housekeeping, craftsmanship and equipment reliability.
- Implement a maintenance strategy that effectively utilizes proactive (preventive and predictive) maintenance techniques and performance monitoring to detect early equipment degradation, and employ timely, scheduled maintenance to prevent failure.
- Provide leadership to ensure the highest standard of equipment performance are achieved and sustained. This involves establishing a sufficient number of highly-skilled, trained and qualified individuals; providing the tools, facilities, and environment needed for success; implementing efficient processes; and providing appropriate oversight.
- Promote a culture in which production and maintenance work together to identify and resolve abnormal or degraded equipment conditions that could negatively impact safety, quality or productivity.
- Involve operators in the maintenance of their equipment. Improve operator equipment and maintenance knowledge by leading training to improve skills.
