The Plant Quality Manager is responsible for providing leadership to the plant in the area of maintaining and improving the quality systems as prescribed by the plant’s Division and by the corporate standards. Duties include management of change control, data collection schemes, test methods & equipment, standard instructions, audits, manuals, and other routine quality systems areas. The PQM also must direct the activities of hourly quality staff when applicable. Other duties include training plant personnel in quality processes; facilitating improvement teams; managing compliance to specifications; and acting as product safety team leader, if applicable. In addition Plant Quality Managers must serve as the point of contact with customers for product or service quality.
Primary Responsibilities:
This position is located in DeKalb, Illinois. The company designs and manufactures custom high visibility packaging solutions for retail, medical and food markets. Primary focus is thin gauge thermoforming of blisters, clamshells, and trays along with graphics cards, insert and carton printing, as well as industry leading heat-seal equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
This is a progression position and could be a level I, II or III. Compensation and progression level will be based on candidate’s experience and education, and current business needs.
