Project Engineer (Well Facility) North Dakota
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Engineer manages the execution of multiple well pad facilities projects. Project size ranges from $100 M to $10 MM, with project durations ranging from 1 to 18 months. Well Facility projects primarily support the Bakken asset by installing new, or modifying existing, well facilities to support new drilling activities ahead of the drilling program, ensuring new production can be processed. Well Facility projects may also support changing production conditions through modifications to existing facilities. Project execution activities include engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and accept Front End Loading design packages from the Developments team
- Prioritize and drive the schedule for manufacturing and delivery of controllable equipment
- Responsible for management of work package development and implementation through detailed design, manufacturing, field construction, and handover to Operations
- Accountable for management of full project execution budget. Authority for approving task execution based on cost estimates and schedules provided by contractors, including base estimates/SOW and any additions
- Accountable for project delivery
- Communicate flow of projects
- Maintains a working knowledge of and ability to apply engineering specifications, regulations, standards, and permitting requirements
- Communicates project deliverables and recommendations thru written and oral presentations and technical reports
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Education
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management
- 3+ years experience working in the oil and gas industry; project management, operations, engineering (including civil), maintenance experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and design methods
