THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a new building, remodel, or expansion is built on time and within budget with the responsibility for ensuring all members of the Team involved in the project are productive and actively contributing to the success of the project.
- Generate project schedules using computer software
- Anticipate, recognize, and negotiate changes from the documented scope of work, client billings, vendor/subcontractor billing review/approval, cost coding
- Coordinate and monitor the execution of construction project activities – both new start and facility upgrades, contract administration – subcontractor & material, buy-outs & purchasing within company policy and procedures.
- Implement project scope, schedules, and cost estimates for renovations build-outs for new facilities, expansions, and up-fits.
- Create a structure and organization for the management of a complex environment with an emphasis on quality, productivity, and consistency.
- Manage existing projects and assist with Preconstruction Services when appropriate
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- Minimum 10years experience in the construction industry with experience in commercial – including industrial / manufacturing projects ($5MM and above)
- College degree in Construction Management or equivalent Experience.
- Excellent analytical, estimating, budgeting, billing, and scheduling practices
- Strong experience in dealing with negotiated work
- Ability to manage contract documents written scope of work to ensure customer satisfaction and budget
- Quality Assurance, Safety, and Regulatory expertise (Storm Water knowledge a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and documentation
- Effective and proven relationship building skills with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal customers
