Job Description

The Supervisor position is responsible and accountable for organizing, assessing, directing and evaluating patient care delivery.   

The Supervisor collaborates with the Department Director on clinical and non-clinical issues (employee relations, individual behaviors, physician’s relationships, etc.

 The Supervisor is the support for the unit/department when the Director is unavailable. 

The Supervisor is responsible for supervising, directing, coaching and mentoring their assigned core group of staff.  

Must-Haves

• Licensure as an RN and ability to work in the Commonwealth of VA
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience in an acute care setting
• Minimum of two years of leadership or supervision
• BLS, ACLS , PALS and NRP certifications at hire

Nice-To-Haves

• Critical care nursing experience
