Essential functions of position include, but are not limited to:
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building as needed to ensure all departments and staff are supported.
The pay is $35/hour and the Night RN's work 7p-7a 3x a week. These RN's will work Med/Surg, TCU, and Post Partum. **Most of their time is going to be spent in Med/Surg. Please make sure candidates know they'll spend most of their time in Med/Surg.
Must haves :
- 1 or more years experience in Med/Surg- this is the most important thing.
- ACLS & PALS are required
- must obtain NIHSS within 30 days of hire
- must obtain ASLS within a year of hire
Nice To haves:
- More than 1 year experiene in Med/Surg.
- Great attitude- our Float RN's are the best of the best. They have to be able to adapt to different departments quickly and be a team player.
