SUMMARY: The Product Line Managers (PLM) is responsible for the strategy, roadmap and execution of assigned product lines as well as supporting product development. This position will over see $30 mil - $35 mil in annual business primarily focusing on hybrid microwave components and thin film technology. These include our SAW Filter and Oscillator business, our passive coaxial products, and many of our space qualified products (Class K). Understanding product technologies and their markets and applications is very helpful. This person must work with a broad-level of complex products to quote, grow business, and steer New Product Introduction.

• Participates and contributes to the overall business unit strategic plan.
• Responsible for defining long-range strategies consistent with the market, business and corporate goals and objectives. These include, but are not limited to market, product, technology, customer penetration, and revenue growth.
• Participates and contributes to the overall business unit strategic plan.
• Understand, articulate, and capture customer market needs and problems and then translate them into solutions addressing market requirements for new product development.
• Responsible for measuring product success.
• Develop growth strategy with revenue targets for current portfolio of products as well as rationalize current product portfolio. Responsible for each stock keeping unit (SKU) within the product line, ensuring each SKU is financially justified. Manage the product life cycle and the product review process to rationalize unprofitable products.
• Responsible for identifying market trends, customer insights, and growth opportunities.
• If customer feedback is not favorable, the PLM is responsible to make necessary changes to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Generate a business case for product extensions and/or enhancements.
• Drive growth by suggesting specific product related marketing and sales approaches.
• Understand customers’ business models, technology, product and program roadmaps and how it applies to our products.
• Development of business case analysis, return on investment (ROI) for research & development investments in accordance with roadmap priorities.
• Define product pricing strategies, ensuring future costs and pricing meet market and internal margin demands. Responsible for the accuracy/validity of cost models, and sets costs targets of products and projects. Monitors to ensure all products and projects meet the specific delivery, cost and technical objectives, taking correction actions as required.
• Work with MARCOM to develop marketing and communication strategies.
• Works with Site Leadership and Operations to define product pricing strategies, ensuring future costs and pricing meet market and internal margin demands. Responsible for the accuracy/validity of cost models, and sets costs targets of products and projects. Monitors to ensure all products and projects meet the specific objectives, taking correction actions as required.
• Achieve revenue and bookings growth through existing products and new development (goals established during yearly budget cycle).Prepare “winning” proposals; those that are detailed, well written, organized and prepared in accordance with the customer’s requirements.
• Determine Future Business Opportunities (FBO)’s to pursue and those to pass on in order to appropriately manage limited Engineering Resources.
• Ensure all projects and sample requests are completed to customer satisfaction.
• Review bookings forecast provided by Regional Sales managers to verify accuracy.
• Identify potential and targeted accounts to develop new business and direct sales representatives to specific opportunities.
• Provides all required information for quote including pricing, proposed documents, new designs, lead times, drawings and exceptions.
• Establish and nurture relationships with customers to ensure we obtain requests to quote and we win the business.
• Create Customer Presentations and host customer visits.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises up to five (5) Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Continuously review consumer/competitor statistics/trends within our industry
• Create customer surveys and track customer satisfaction. Should feedback not be favorable, the PLM must determine/institute applicable changes.
• Participate with Site Manager, in preparation of all bookings and FBO information to complete monthly Vertical reviews.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by applicable manager
• Coordinates generation and distribution of monthly sales dependencies to assist in projecting revenue and income.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor degree in a technical field or equivalent AND
• Five (5) years of related experience OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
