VP of Sales, Consulting Services
Work from Home, but Seattle/Atlanta would be best.
We are seeking a talented, experienced VP of Sales to drive sales and client engagement to further fuel the massive growth our company is experiencing! Join us in further developing existing relationships and in our expansion efforts!
You will bring your successful track record of selling consulting or professional services to Fortune 500 clients, experience in the full sales cycle, excellent client management skills, the ability to translate client needs into appropriate solutions, and the desire and drive to continue building our amazing team of consultants!
You will:
- Understand customer’s business and technical objectives as well as our company’s strengths and offerings and be able to connect the two in compelling ways for our customers
- Own, track, and manage the sales cycles for our Services Sales offerings
- Sell project-based, role-based, outsourced, and staff augmentation services
- Create opportunities, manage pursuits, present project SOW's and close deals
- Manage and maintain customer relationship(s) from initial discussions to close of deal and ensure project success future sales
- Develop compelling and compliant proposals and other sales collateral for consulting service lines; respond to complex requests for proposals (RFPs) for consulting services; work with the consulting operations leadership and team members to help design, build, and integrate a library of proposal content; and provide quality assurance to deliver proposals that are error free, meet firm and RFP compliance requirements, and effectively represent our firm’s capabilities and value proposition
- Conduct yourself as the liaison of each project engagement, working closely with the Delivery Excellence Team in a proactive cadence, through project closure
- Present Professional Services offerings to existing customers and new prospects in a professional, clear manner aligned with the culture and branding of Troy Consulting
- Stay abreast of competitor firms and best practices to share sales-related insights and recommendations to leadership
- Forecast for accounts and opportunities using proper metrics
- Ensure successful knowledge transfer and onboarding of new customers
- Grow sales team(s) as needed to support business growth
Key Skills:
- 15+ years experience in consulting or professional services sales required
- Experience with tech sector a big plus
- Ability to think through complex and complicated requirements across our services portfolio
- Experience building relationships, networking, and influencing senior business decision-makers
- Experience with CRM Tools and full-cycle sales processes required
- Must be a winner with a great attitude
- Hands-on leadership capabilities to go wide and deep on solution fit and solution positioning during sales cycles
- Be agile, willing to learn quickly and open to feedback
- Very strong written communication skills – ability to develop pitch decks and other sales related information for our internal teams and clients (Must be strong with MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint))
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a strategic, big-picture thinker
- Excellent people skills – open and inviting personality capable of developing relationships and willingness to guide and support others
- Experience developing and driving activity status – keeping activities on track, timely escalation and management of issues, information sharing
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
