Role Overview
As our Digital Marketing Account Manager, you'll act as the primary bridge between our clients and our internal technical teams. Your mission: translate each client's business objectives into actionable digital strategies, oversee execution across SEO, Local Search and Google Business Profile, Local AI Search (GEO/AI-driven local visibility), paid social, video, and email channels, and make sure every campaign delivers measurable results. You'll own the relationship, the strategy, the numbers, and the calm voice on the other end of the line when the digital landscape shifts.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the lead point of contact for a curated portfolio of client accounts, managing expectations and building long-term trust
- Translate client business goals into integrated digital marketing strategies across SEO, Local Search and Google Business Profile, Local AI Search (GEO/AI-driven local visibility), paid social, video, content, and email
- Own the strategic roadmap for each account — building 6-to-12 month growth plans that move clients from local visibility to regional dominance, not just month-over-month tweaks
- Wrangle our internal geniuses — SEO wizards, paid media hawks, designers, developers, video producers, and creative leads — to make sure the vision in your head actually ends up on the client's screen, on time and on budget
- Manage client marketing budgets, allocating spend across platforms to maximize ROI and lead quality (not just lead volume — 10 booked jobs beats 100 form fills every time)
- Analyze campaign performance — ROI, conversions, qualified leads, booked jobs, traffic, engagement, video views — using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile Insights, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok, and YouTube, then translate the numbers into clear, actionable insights clients actually understand
- Lead monthly review calls and quarterly strategy sessions, presenting results and recommending next moves
- Onboard new clients and set the foundation for a strong, lasting partnership
- Be the calm centre when campaigns underperform or the digital landscape shifts — troubleshoot, recalibrate, and communicate with clarity
Who You Are (The Must-Haves)
- 3+ years of digital marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a client-facing account management role (agency experience strongly preferred)
- Working knowledge of the digital marketing pillars: SEO, Local Search and Google Business Profile optimization, Local AI Search (GEO/AI-driven local visibility), paid social, video, content strategy, and email marketing
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok, and YouTube — you can read a dashboard and tell the story behind the numbers
- Familiarity with rank tracking and SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar
- Comfort living in the modern agency tech stack — project management tools (Asana, Monday, ClickUp), Slack, a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar), and other client communication tools
- Proven ability to manage client budgets and make smart trade-offs across channels
- A true translator — you don't just report that "organic traffic is up 10%," you explain how that traffic turned into 15 booked furnace installs and what that means for the client's bottom line
- A lead-quality mindset — you measure success by booked jobs and revenue, not vanity metrics
- Proficient with Google Sheets or Excel for analysis and reporting
- Extremely organized — you can juggle multiple accounts, deadlines, and stakeholders without dropping a thread
- A reader of rooms (and Zooms) — you adjust your tone, pace, and pitch to whoever's across the table
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
- Bonus: experience marketing for home service businesses (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, etc.)
