As a member of the Human Resources team, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a strategic role in shaping DineAmic Hospitality’s employer brand, recruitment strategies, and talent pool. They will perform full life-cycle recruitment for corporate and management roles; supervise sourcing and screening of candidates for hourly roles; train hiring managers on interviewing and more. The ideal candidate is a natural at networking; is passionate about hospitality; is resourceful with strong interpersonal skills; and has the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to achieve organizational goals. This role reports to the Human Resources Director and is a full-time exempt role.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS + RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify job requirements and develop job descriptions and specifications; Verify that job descriptions are relevant, accurate and compliant in order to ensure an equitable hiring process and valid performance reviews
- Proactively consult with hiring managers to understand their potential vacancies, succession plans, and gaps in their team’s knowledge, skills and abilities
- Implement creative sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of talent through personal and professional networking in-person and online; Post open positions on company career page, job boards, and other platforms that attract qualified candidates; Partner with external recruiters for niche and hard-to-fill roles
- Manage the entirety of the employee selection process ensuring a positive candidate experience: screen resumes; conduct initial interviews and assess candidates to ensure a match with organizational needs and culture; coordinate follow-up interviews with hiring managers; assign pre-employment assessments; conduct reference checks and employment verifications; extend and negotiate offers
- Administer our Applicant Tracking System and champion its use with hiring managers across the company; Train hiring managers on quality and unbiased interviewing techniques
- Coordinate with corporate team members on employer branding initiatives; Conduct a competitor analysis to understand the strengths and weaknesses of our Employee Value Proposition and make recommendations to improve our offerings to attract and retain talent
- Stay up to date with hiring needs for hourly positions; Supervise and mentor HR team members that source and screen candidates for hourly positions
- Continuously evaluate and improve our processes and strategies for talent acquisition
- Other duties as needed within the scope of the role
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
- Knowledge on laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring practices
- 3+ years of Staffing/Recruiting Experience required
- Hospitality Experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with administration of an ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills
- Dependable and responsible with a strong attention to detail
- Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced, changing priorities, and ability to balancing multiple projects simultaneously
