JOB PURPOSE
To promote electronic security systems through conducting on-site surveys, producing specification documents and managing jobs through to engineering handover.
- Research sales opportunities through networking, using marketing and website data and relationship building.
- Conduct ‘onsite’ surveys and produce comprehensive specification documents.
- Update computerised data base once survey and then specification document is completed.
- Accurately price jobs and analyse profitability using job costing software.
- Follow up specification documents which have not been accepted through telephone or email contact.
- Liaise with the Sales Co-ordinator to clarify appointments and surveys/specifications completed.
- Manage client expectations and develop a lasting relationship.
- Identify ‘add on’ sales opportunities.
- Identify the physical resources needed for project completion.
- Ensure all information and equipment is needed by engineers is made available - site plans, drawings, project minutes and specific information e.g. operational challenges, health and safety implications.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is complete i.e. risk assessments, method statements, operation and maintenance manuals.
- Work with the Installation Manager to ensure job runs smoothly, as per specification, on time and within budget.
