We are recruiting for a Supply Planner /Buyer (2 roles) - in the Dallas area. The roles are with a growing company in three home-improvements market segments (big box, e-commerce and distribution). They're up 20% this year in sales - a bad year for most companies. They have an URGENT need to fill the roles. I just got off the phone with the hiring manager, and she is looking to hire before year end.
The role - they're looking for someone with 3 or more years experience; they need someone who can hit the ground running, working in SAP, with roughly 3,000 SKU's. There is also a distro network - 5 distribution centers - so you'd need to be able to work reporting and planning on roughly 15K line items initially, with scope to grow. They also want someone with experience dealing with both Domestic and International suppliers - the role won't be involved with RFQ's or the like, but dealing with established international and domestic suppliers is needed.
CPIM certification is preferred; they have a developed infrastructure of reporting, but it needs to be worked on and developed, so ability to dive-in and tweak reporting is necessary. Again, it's a great company that is growing; salary, bonus, and benefits. If you are interested, or know someone who may be, please let me know - we pay a $500 bonus for successful referrals.
Requirements -
Bachelor's degree in supply chain preferred; MBA helpful
CPIM Cert preferred
3+ years experience in a buyer role with multiple SKU's (thousands)
Experience dealing with domestic and international suppliers
SAP experience strongly preferred
