Dubarry USA (DUSA) is the US subsidiary of Irish Heritage Brand, Dubarry of Ireland, a footwear and clothing company founded in 1937 on Ireland’s West coast. For 80 years we have been an industry leader in outdoor lifestyle footwear and apparel, from performance sailing to equestrian, and field sports. Our US office is currently searching for an entry level/trainee pop-up shop sales associate to join our team. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to fast track into a management role.
Job Summary
This is a great opportunity for someone to enter a high-end sales environment with a friendly, supportive atmosphere focused on customer/brand experience in a mobile store environment. Full training will be provided.
As part of a team travelling to events with our branded mobile store (involving up to 75% travel). You will build and merchandise the booth (to plan) and sell through the event while providing a branded experience to new and potential customers.
DUSA sales and marketing team is part of our global marketing platform that attends a variety of events (25-30 events per year) across the country (primarily east coast) to showcase new products, interact with customers, generate brand awareness, and handle sales direct to consumer.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Setting up and tearing down a booth, generally a 10x20 size. Occasionally larger.
· Supervising temporary staff to assist you with merchandising, selling, and interacting with customers.
· Aiding with logistics such as travel planning, booking accommodations, staff planning and equipment rentals
· Assisting the General Manager with maintaining stock levels for your pop-up store
· Driving box trucks sometimes long distances to events (We will handle your DOT requirements – no CDL required)
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Clean valid driver’s license;
- Must be aged 21 or over as serving alcohol is a requirement of the position;
- No previous sales experience necessary – a strong personality and self-starter attitude are all you need for us to train you;
- Located within 1 ½ hours of US office in Nottingham, PA;
- Some College Preferred;
Attributes:
You’ll need to:
- have strong people skills. good problem solving aptitude and be resourceful;
- be Proficient in MS office;
- enjoy traveling up to 75% of the year, mostly over weekends and sometimes holidays;
- be comfortable driving larger vehicles such as a box truck for extended periods
Physical Requirements:
This role is physically demanding and requires a person who can:
- drive up to 11 hours a day (within DOT compliance for rest stops);
- stand and/or kneel over 8 hrs/day;
- lift up to 60lbs repeatedly
Remuneration & Benefits
Salary: Starting from 38,000, rising to 45,000 TBA based on experience.
Benefits: The Company will pay 3% contribution to a 401K and contribute up to $2,400 (defined contribution) to your healthcare if you decide to join the company’s group plan.
Leave: Annual paid leave of 10 days per annum plus Christmas day, New Year’s Day and Thanksgiving Day. Arrangements for taking vacations must be approved prior to any bookings taking place.
Communications:
The company will provide a mobile phone for business use and will supply a laptop computer.
Expenses:
A company credit card is provided. The Company will reimburse normal vouched business expenses incurred in the performance of the role. Business expenses to be submitted monthly, the receipts of which should also be submitted monthly.
Vehicles:
The company will assign an appropriate branded commercial vehicle to you from our pool for use on all events.
