The HR Apprentice will be a key member of the HR team, providing comprehensive human resources support to the whole organisation. The apprentice will be engaged in a full HR generalist role from administration, payroll, benefits, contractual matters, wellbeing, absence management and maintenance of the HR database.
With the HR apprenticeship qualification alongside the day-to-day training and guidance of the team, the apprentice will be developed to provide 1st line support with pay, benefits and all general queries from employees, providing comprehensive advice. They will be working with line managers on their recruitment needs, supporting with checking job descriptions, job adverts, RTW, interview bookings and process. You will have responsibility for maintaining and updating the HR system with employee data and providing training, guidance and support for HR system users.
You will have the ability to build effective relationships, both internally and externally, showing sensitivity to others’ viewpoints and valuing diversity. Excellent attention to detail with strong written, numeracy and Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint) skills are desirable.
As an excellent organiser, you will have the ability to work on your own initiative in a structured way, prioritise a wide range of activities and use available resources to ensure tasks are completed to deadlines.
The role will follow the HR apprenticeship programme and will culminate in an endpoint assessment with CIPD accreditation.

Experience is not essential for this role, it’s more important than the person having the aptitude to learn quickly and can demonstrate their drive and application to work with us.
