We are a new and innovative health club seeking an experienced, passionate, and experienced Manager who can help build a dynamic culture for our employees and an energizing environment for our members. While fitness experience is expected, we will welcome a management background in retail, hospitality or the restaurant industry. The successful candidate will be a positive-minded, motivated and results-driven professional with the ability to influence a diverse group of people. Responsibilities:
- Manage club operations during weekend hours
- Greet all members and guests with a smile and wish them well as they exit the club
- Check in all members and guests in accordance with company procedures
- Answer phones in courteous, helpful, professional manner
- Function as an initial source of information regarding all services available within our club
- Exemplify a hospitality mindset to build relationships with members and guests, regularly creating extraordinary experiences
- Maintain updated knowledge to appropriately educate all members and guests of club programming, events, pricing, and policies
- Assist members with account maintenance, processing member needs, changes and transactions including program, service, and product payments
- Serve as point of contact for new member acquisition and member retention interactions
- Engage in problem solving and service recovery for member questions and concerns, utilizing appropriate tools and resources
- Attend staff meetings and other meetings as required
- Function as a brand ambassador inside and outside of the gym
- Maintain an atmosphere which makes members feel welcome
- Maintain a professional disposition at all times
- Support the service desks and gym floor
- Communicate special events to members and guests
- Assist in all projects as delegated by club management
- Offer services direct to clients, partnering with all functional teams to deliver memorable experiences
- Resolve member concerns and escalate as needed.
- Regular, consistent cleaning and sanitizing of communal spaces and assigned areas
Qualifications:
- Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (Training provided)
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor.
- Able to work varied shifts, including days and evenings
- Passion to serve others
- Effective communication skills
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, and bend for the duration of a shift
- Must enjoy working in a team environment
