Field Service Technician (Belfast)

Role:
The Field Service Technician provides support in the form of first line customer liaison, service and repair of Flowbird ticketing equipment as well as installation support activities and stock management. The successful candidate will be based in or around the Belfast area and will join a busy team providing cover for Northern Ireland.
This role operates as part of a field service team who cover the hours of 7am to 7pm / 7 days per week. Typically the shift pattern for this role will be 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility to cover shifts around these core hours will be required from time to time to support any team rota changes and holidays within the team.

Responsibilities:
- Carry out on-site preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to ticketing equipment to a defined standard.
- Deal with basic PC (personal computer) related problems and set up PC for system operation.
- Contribute to a first time fix policy and client oriented approach focussed upon the end users satisfaction.
- Conduct and promote the Company in a professional manner at all times.
- Communicate with all levels of staff both verbally and in writing, escalating all major issues to the management team as appropriate.
- Complete documents in a timely manner and to agreed Company standards.
- Responsible for keeping all Company stock and equipment in good order and liaising with the stores department to ensure that the allocation of spare parts is of a satisfactory level.
- Adhere to Health and Safety rules.
- Assist with the implementation of new equipment, upgrade existing equipment as required and occasional installation.
- Organisation of the response calls to ensure that defined targets of response are achieved.
Experience:
- A relevant electrical qualification, i.e., NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
- A field service engineer with proven ability as an electro-mechanical engineer operating in the vending or transport industry, or similar.
Key Skills:
- Hold a full driving licence.
- Electrical engineering background.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Self-organised, motivated and able to work using their own initiative.
- Remain calm when working under pressure.
