All about the role of Marketing Coordinator
We are looking to add a creative Marketing Coordinator to our dynamic team who will report to the Vice President of Marketing and will focus on developing digital and traditional marketing activities to improve lead generation and support Flowbird product launches. The Marketing Coordinator will take the lead promoting our mobile app, digital services, and event planning/customer engagement.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of B2B marketing principles and a proven track record of success in a B2B environment.
What will you do?
Marketing Activities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive B2B marketing campaigns directed to municipalities, counties, universities, and transit agencies;
- Draft content for email blasts, websites, and various other publications;
- Assist with client/prospect database creation and maintenance ;
- Work closely with the sales teams to ensure alignment between marketing and sales efforts;
- Help gather and analyze data to reach insights about brands, competitors, and trends;
- Maintain inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials when necessary;
- Support the VP of Marketing in establishing and evaluating marketing strategy by assembling sales forecasts, setting objectives, organizing promotional presentations, and updating calendars; and
- Additional administrative duties for smooth functioning of the marketing department.
Trade Show (Event) Coordination:
- Plan and execute B2B events, such as trade shows, conferences, webinars, training and networking events;
- Contribute to and facilitate customer-acquisition activities such as; sales enablement, media promotion, networking, trade shows, and events;
- Coordinate show services for tradeshows;
- Registering booth staff
- Ordering booth rental materials and services
- Prepare equipment and arranging for timely shipment to the trade show location; and
- Attending and overseeing designated trade shows as assigned by the VP of Marketing.
Skills/Attributes:
- Strong understanding of B2B marketing principles, strategies and best practices;
- Approachable with strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal).
- Hands-on experience in developing campaigns and promotions;
- Proven success in a fast paced environment, working both individually and as a team member;
- Ability to interact with all levels within the organization; and
- Strong attention to deadlines and adhering to budgetary restraints.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Communication or Public Relations preferred;
- Professional certification (ex: Professional Certified Marketer) helpful but not required.
- 5+ years of Marketing Experience; 2 years in B2B marketing preferred;
- Skilled with Google Suite and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Experience in email marketing content and design;
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing; and
- Basic design/layout skills using Illustrator and Photoshop
Physical Demands:
- Stand for long periods of time representing the team at trade show booths;
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.;
- Valid and clean driving record required;
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20% throughout the US; which may include overnight travel approximately 2-3 nights per month; and
- Willingness to occasionally work outside of standard business hours.
