We are seeking a Staff Accountant, with a strong understanding of accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable and month end closing. The Successful candidate will engage in multiple accounting functions to ensure department is providing needed support to the company. In this role, you will spend time mastering the A/P, A/R functions before advancing to the following responsibilities: Job Costing, month-end and year-end closing including preparation for annual accounting review with outside CPA Firm, assist auditors in the review process, coordinate and supervise preparation of records for any company audits and analyzing cost and expense variances.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and process daily A/P and A/R transactions;
- Work with the Controller to complete month-end closing which encompasses; analysis, processing financial statements and journal entries;
- Partners with the Controller on both the forecast and budget;
- Assist in preparing monthly comparative analysis of forecast v. actual cost;
- Performs collection activities and Sales Commissions;
- Oversee and support filing all legally required forms, reports, and returns including: sales & use Tax and others as required;
- Maintain current professional and technical knowledge; and
- Other duties assigned.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration;
- 5+ years experienced in corporate accounting;
- Advanced skill using Excel (formulas and V-Look-Ups), Word and Outlook;
- Experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting;
- Knowledge of office administration and procedures;
- Experience with product costing in manufacturing environment, helpful; and
- Experience with leading a team and directing others.
