Fresh Baguette is looking for a talented and passionate Fleet Manager/Delivery Supervisor for its Production Center in Germantown, MD.
As a Fleet Manager and Delivery Supervisor at Fresh Baguette, your duty will be working alongside the Dept Manager in taking care of all delivery vehicles and managing a team of drivers. Shift times will vary throughout the year but be close to a 12AM-9AM overnight shift. Holidays and weekends are required, they are the busiest times of week/year.
As a Fleet Manager you will be:

- Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments
- Assist Dept manager in DOT compliance and oversight
- Monitor fleet compliance with local, state, and federal requirements relating to the operation and all preventive maintenance
- Takeover and maintain productive relationships with our local mechanics
- Coordinate and provide input concerning the performance evaluations of assigned employees
- Registering each vehicle and ensuring that all relevant documents are always up to date
- Assist Dept manager in insurance relationships, claims, decisions and reports to top management
- Develops and implements vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance programs
- Assist the Dept Manager in the development of policies and regulations
- Respond and/or assist personnel in emergency situations during and after normal work hours when required
- Manages the daily operation and coordinate maintenance of the organization’s motor vehicles
- Provides input and opinions on strategic decisions that affect the fleet area of responsibility
- Develops and maintains efficient design structure of delivery routes
- Ride along trainings and evaluations with delivery staff

Requirements
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- At least 3 years of experience with the following fleet needs:
- Respond and/or dispatch service personnel to emergency situations during and after normal work hours when required
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, continuously lifting 10-70lbs, pushing, pulling, manipulating pallets, bakery racks etc.
- Availability to work on weekends and Holidays - Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.
- Strong Communication skills
- Proven working experience as a Delivery driver
- DOT medical card
- Experience with GVW 16,000+ LBS
- Experience with Lift gate operation
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record with no traffic violations
