Fresh Baguette is a fast-growing, artisanal French bakery known for its high-quality standards and modern atmosphere. The company was founded in Bethesda, MD in 2013 with the goal of bringing fresh, made-from-scratch organic breads, pastries, sweets and Viennese items inspired by bakeries in France to the DMV area.
Fresh Baguette is looking for a Night Packing Supervisor to lead the night packing for Fresh Baguette’s packaging operation from the production center in Rockville, MD. As a Night Packing Supervisor, you will lead the night packaging team of 6-15 people. You will use your expertise in delegating tasks based on the staffs' skills in order to manage labor efficiently and hit target goals.
We are looking for people who are eager to learn and who can follow a set schedule, are dependable, have reliable transportation and have the ability to work on their own in a fast-paced environment. Zero tolerance for tardiness and absence. We pack and bag and label thousands of products each night for delivery to various grocery stores and coffee shops throughout the DMV.
You must communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment to succeed. The environment is very diverse including native French speakers. This does not mean you need to speak French, just that you will sometimes help from someone in the room to translate or other forms of communication when there is a language barrier.
This position reports to the Logistics Manager of Packaging. The Night Packing Supervisor will have direct supervisor for 6-15 people.
As a Night Packing Supervisor, you will have responsibilities to
- Follow Fresh Baguette’s packaging process, rules and food safety standards
- Develop and train your new and existing team members to be versatile, accurate, efficient and valuable to the team.
- Pack a wide variety of bakery items in different boxes and bags in accordance with customers’ orders
- Assist the Logistics Manager and other workmates when needed
- Complete logs and reports

Hours
This is position with a fixed schedule with night and overnight hours. Please do not apply if you do not feel comfortable with this schedule:
- Fixed schedule from 7:00 PM-3:00 AM
- Must work Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Must work on Major U.S. Holidays (our heaviest delivery days are Fridays and Saturdays)
Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation to work
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the food industry e.g., food and beverage, wholesale, restaurant, food-manufacturing
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience with duties to include managing labor, effectively organizing a complex operation to require the least amount of walking, least amount of wasted time, assigning tasks based off of your staffs’ skill, who is best at what task on what day, following up with team members to ensure all quality standards are met
